The Position

Parts of the TEM R&D organization are the Program Portfolio Teams crafted to match our different types of customers. Those teams are defining the most competitive innovation strategy with their marketing counterparts. Building a strong roadmap that delivers business growth. Translating the roadmap into programs and projects and deliver them in time, within budget and on quality.

The job of the R&D Program Manager Imaging is to lead the Imaging cluster of activities! The R&D Program Manager is creating a roadmap based on business needs which are translated to technology / functions together with the Hardware - and Software architect. Together they warrant the commonality of the modules across the product lines. The roadmap needs to be aligned with the different Portfolio Leaders and Business Units.

The R&D program manager will themselves be handling a few projects within the Imaging program and providing inputs for AOP purposes are tailored systems for special customers. The R&D Program Manager is the first point of contact for co-developer and supply chain roadmap and makes sure the roadmaps are aligned with the R&D roadmap. Next to that, the R&D program manager is the first point of contact for support (2nd/3rd) for released modules in this program. And is connected with Advanced Technology (research/pre-development) to have early involvement in the Advanced Technology roadmap.

The assigned project leaders within the Imaging Program are being coached by the R&D Program Manager in order to make sure the project is implementing according to the agreed roadmap.

This R&D Program Mgr for the Imaging program is part of the Platform Portfolio led by the Platform Portfolio Leader who has multiple programs in his scope (for example: Imaging, Optics, Stages, etc).

The TEM Platform Portfolio belongs to the MSD division within Thermofisher Scientific.
